FirstPick.AI ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information: Your Telegram user ID, first name, last name, and Telegram username, provided automatically when you start our bot.
Profile data: Information you provide during onboarding — email address, job preferences (categories, experience level, locations, salary expectations), and any CV or resume content you upload or enter.
Payment information: Billing is handled entirely by Paddle. We receive confirmation of successful payment and your subscription status, but we never see or store your credit card number or full payment details.
Usage data: Interactions with the bot (alerts clicked, CVs generated, applications submitted, dismissals) to improve matching accuracy and product quality.
Technical data: Timestamps, IP address (for webhook processing), and service logs for security and debugging purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

To operate and deliver the service — matching job alerts, generating tailored CVs, and sending notifications via Telegram.
To improve match quality over time based on your feedback (clicks, dismissals, preferences).
To send transactional emails (activation links, subscription receipts, account notices) via SendGrid.
To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse.
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party, ever.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party processors to operate the service:

Paddle (paddle.com) — payment processing and subscription management. Subject to Paddle's own Privacy Policy.
SendGrid / Twilio — transactional email delivery. Subject to Twilio's Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini API — AI-powered CV generation. Your CV text and job description are sent to the Gemini API for processing. Subject to Google's Terms of Service.
Telegram — the messaging platform through which we deliver alerts and interact with you. Subject to Telegram's Privacy Policy.
Railway — cloud infrastructure hosting our service on servers in the United States.

4. Data Retention

Your account and profile data are retained for as long as you have an active account.
Job alert history is retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted.
Generated CVs are retained on our servers for up to 90 days after creation.
System logs are retained for 14 days.
Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data by updating your profile in the bot.
Delete your account and all associated data by emailing firstpick.ai@gmail.com.
Object to processing by contacting us. If you withdraw consent, you will no longer be able to use the service.
Data portability: Request a copy of your profile data in a machine-readable format.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure secret storage. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via Telegram or email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
